Seeking New Perspectives
Coming to Your Table
We believe that advisory panels play an important role: they allow us to incorporate new perspectives from key stakeholders who simply do not have the time and capacity to co-create solutions with us. When we launched this work, we initially had a wide range of advisory panels: youth, school leaders, district leadership, city leadership, community leadership, parents, teachers, funders etc. However, we found that it was hard to get consistent and engaged participation. There were many existing meetings taking place across the city on similar topics and people did not want to have to repeat themselves.
So we have shifted our approach. We now seek to identify other coalitions across the greater Denver area and ask if we can join their meetings. We often go just to listen and hear about the priorities of our communities. Sometimes, with permission, we may bring some of our ideas to those meetings to solicit feedback. We hope to be able to identify opportunities where our work can be a benefit to others.
We currently do our best to participate in the meetings hosted by:
But we know there are many more groups out there. If you would like us to proactively work to coordinate with you, contact us! Let us surprise you by showing up.
